What differentiates the Maltz Jupiter Theatre from other theaters in this area?
Most people would be surprised to discover that we are the creators of our own work. Every aspect presented on the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s stage has been meticulously designed and crafted specifically with our audience in mind. We cast in New York, as well as locally, and the show is then developed through a rigorous three-week production and rehearsal process before being unveiled to our patrons.
What do you feel is the best part about celebrating your 20th anniversary at the
Maltz Jupiter Theatre?
Through manifestation, I have been able to realize my lifelong dreams of becoming a producer on Broadway, as well as the Tony Awards® for 13 years, before returning to Jupiter. In addition to these accomplishments, I feel this career milestone is not just about my achievements, but I’m also celebrating the incredible relationships and shared experiences that have been fostered over the years in the Palm Beach community. It is no doubt, my best chapter.
What positive impact do you feel the performing arts has on the community?
The performing arts impact communities in a very meaningful way. At Maltz Jupiter Theatre, we feel we have built a facility where creativity flourishes and where the community can come together. In addition to the many artistic contributions, the revenues that the arts generate annually from job creation, art tourism, and local spending helps drive positive economic growth.
What advice would you give a young person wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Dream big. Many people will try to discourage you from pursuing your passion; but if you work hard, surround yourself with supportive people, and stay true to your heart, you can make anything happen.
