To kick off Florida’s back-to-school sales tax holiday, inbound and current college students can shop and save at The Gardens University at The Gardens Mall August 2. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., students can shop with four $10 vouchers at select stores and enjoy a tailgate party.
Stop by Robert Graham for 15 percent-off full price items and enter a raffle to win a smart backpack. Vineyard Vines and Hollister are offering 10 percent-off entire purchases, and Abercrombie & Fitch will take 15 percent-off full-priced items. Exclusive discounts from more retailers will be revealed at the event.
Throughout the month of August, enjoy tax-free shopping at The Gardens Mall to save on back-to-school essentials. No sales tax will be collected on the following items:
- Clothing, footwear, and certain accessories selling for $100 or less, per item
- Certain school supplies selling for $30 or less, per item
- Personal computers and select computer-related accessories with a sales price of $1,500 or less (when purchased for non-commercial home or personal use)
To participate in The Gardens University event, students must register online in advance. After registering, bring the confirmation ticket and a college ID or an acceptance letter to The Gardens Mall. Students will pick up their vouchers at the Information Desk between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
