Futures Recovery Healthcare kicked off its annual Jupiter Recovery Day—the organization’s celebration of recovery from mental health and substance use disorders—on Friday, September 10 with an online raffle. The event will continue on September 24 and 25 with a virtual fundraiser with Kendra Scott, exclusive offers at Jupiter Outdoor Center, and a boat-in movie at Jupiter Pointe Club & Marina.

On Friday and Saturday, supporters are invited to participate in a virtual fundraiser with Kendra Scott. Shoppers can use the code GIVEBACK-AHKEL at check out to purchase jewelry and support the recovery center.

On Saturday, the Jupiter Outdoor Center will provide free and discounted rates on tandem kayaks and bikes to get supporters outside. Simply mention “Jupiter Recovery Day” upon arrival. Later that day, guests are invited to pull up their boats, kayaks, or paddle boards at the Jupiter Pointe Club & Marina for a boat-in presentation of Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back. Admission costs $10 per boat, kayak, and paddle board. Alternatively, movie-goers can rent a kayak for $40 through Paddle the Pointe on the Jupiter Pointe Club & Marina property. Event volunteers will be available to help anchor and launch.

“The idea of Jupiter Recovery Day is to bring local businesses and community members together in the name of mental health and substance use disorder recovery. There are many people living happy, healthy, and sober in this community,” said Laura Kunz, Outreach & Community Liaison for Futures Recovery Healthcare. “They are parents, employees, business owners, philanthropists, and students. It’s important that we all come together in the hopes that the unified message spreads to the many in the Jupiter area who still need hope and encouragement to recover.”

The events will also raise money for Chasin A Dream Foundation, a local nonprofit that provides individualized assistance to families with children battling life-threatening illnesses and disabilities. With the tagline “locals helping locals,” the foundation shares the spirit of Jupiter Recovery Day.
