Ever find yourself eyeing a certain novel but not sure whether it’s worth the time? Jupiter resident Hannah Sims has you covered with Hush Reading. She launched the Instagram book review account to keep herself busy during the COVID lockdown, and it has since blossomed into a growing community with more than 8,000 followers. She posts weekly, detailing various genres of books she has read and offering succinct, honest reviews.
The 26-year-old—whose older sister, Jena, is engaged to golfer Brooks Koepka—says creating the account was an obvious pandemic remedy that followed her mom’s advice: “If you learn to love to read, you will never be bored.” Sims was a literature major in college and says she has always felt at home in the library and understands the obstacles aspiring readers face. “There are so many different genres out there, you just have to find the right one for you,” she advises. Sims recommends a few titles for fall: Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr, Capote’s Women by Laurence Leamer, and Under Color of Law by Aaron Philip Clark.
