At age 22, Jupiter resident Natasha Urbanowicz never expected to become a live wedding and events painter. “Painting began as a hobby in a very trying period of my life,” she shares. “My friends and family saw that I had a gift for it and encouraged me to continue, so I kept practicing and eventually developed a niche for painting everything Jupiter.” Last December, she joined a team of artists founded by an established live wedding painter based in South Carolina.
As a result of that mentorship, Urbanowicz is now a full-time artist who attends weddings and events to capture them on canvas. She painted her first wedding earlier this year and has already traveled as far as Oregon for another. In June, a Palm Beach Gardens wedding she painted actually went viral on TikTok. “I still pinch myself sometimes when I am standing there watching a first dance unfold or witnessing two people commit to each other through their vows, and I get to transfer that onto canvas,” she says. “I love that I’m able to create an heirloom that will be passed down from generation to generation in the family.”
