Boca West Country Club

Known as the nation’s number one private residential country club, Boca West boasts a 400,000-square-foot club featuring a number of impressive facilities, including an 18-hole championship golf course and an award-winning tennis complex. With more than 30 beautifully maintained Hydro courts, including two lighted, and a staff of USPTA-certified professionals, it’s no wonder the center won the 2013 USTA Outstanding Facility Award. The club offers numerous tennis league options for both men and women and organizes a variety of competitive and social events throughout the season.

Boca Raton Racquet Center

Just a short lob from Town Center at Boca Raton, the Boca Raton Racquet Center is one of the leading public tennis centers in the area. A previous recipient of the USTA Outstanding Facility of the Year, the Racquet Center features 26 Har-Tru courts, 12 of which are lighted, a pro shop and staff members who are USPTA professionals. Offering both annual and semi-annual membership options, the center provides one-on-one instruction, junior programs, adult clinics and more. Private lessons begin at $35 for 30 minutes for Boca residents, and adult clinics start at $16 per hour. The center is currently under renovation. Once construction is complete, the Racquet Center will include a new central administration building, an extended veranda for tennis, renovated tennis restrooms and much more.

Evert Tennis Academy

Founded by Chrissie, John and their father Jimmy Evert, the leader of American tennis coaching for 50 years, the Evert Tennis Academy is internationally recognized as one of the best training facilities in the country. With full-time training programs offered year-round, 12 hard courts, 11 clay courts and a team of Grand Slam title-winning coaches, it’s not surprising that Evert is known for producing champion players at the junior, high school, collegiate and even professional levels. The academy also has two secondary sites with over 25 courts including a private club, pro shop, clubhouse and a physical training room with trainers and coaches available.

Delray Beach Tennis Center

As a full-service public tennis facility, the Delray Beach Tennis Center includes an upstairs pavilion, conference room, pro-shop, locker rooms and racquet stringing. Featuring 14 clay tennis courts and six hard courts, the club is run by a team of tennis professionals  and USTA- and USPTR-certified coaches, as well as a number of highly ranked players. The club offers a variety of adult and junior programs and tennis training for children ages 5 and up. The Delray Beach Tennis Center also has a second location, the Delray Swim & Tennis Club, located on Jaeger Drive, that features 24 courts.

City of Palm Beach Gardens Tennis Center

The recipient of the 2014 USTA National Outstanding Facility Award, the City of Palm Beach Gardens Tennis Center is the premier community public tennis center in the Palm Beaches. In 2009, the center was voted “The Best Place for Tennis Lessons” in an issue of Jupiter Magazine. With 18 hydro-grid clay courts, the center offers year-round programming for adults and a multitude of youth programs for children ages 4 and up. Private sessions start at $65 an hour for Palm Beach residents and $80 for non-residents.

Sports and Racquet Club at PGA National Resort

PGA National is known for a lot more than its award-winning golf courses. With 18 Har-Tru courts and one hard court, 12 of which are lighted for evening play, a team of USPTA tennis professionals and a newly renovated Tennis Pro Shop, PGA National is lauded as one of the best centers for tennis in South Florida. The club also features an indoor racquetball and handball court. Located in the heart of Palm Beach Gardens, the club offers tennis programs for both adults and children, private instructions, daily drill clinics and more. Members of the PGA National Club receive a 10-percent-off discount for registration.

BallenIsles Country Club

Ranked as the number one tennis facility in the country by the USTA, this private club features a 62,000-square-foot Sports Complex with 20 Har-Tru clay courts and two hard courts, including one stadium court that seats 500 people. Jupiter Bay Tennis Club

Located in northern Palm Beach County, Jupiter Bay Tennis Club features seven lighted Har-Tru courts. Run by two USPTA professionals, Mike and Denee Massie, this public club provides one-on-one coaching sessions, junior and advanced clinics, seasonal camps and team events. Annual membership rates start from $200 for juniors and $900 for adults. Non-member guests are welcome, though each person is limited to six visits yearly.
