Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum will set the scene for the tenth annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival – On Tour, returning April 13, from 6 to 10 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy fresh air, food trucks, and drinks, all while viewing 13 international short films from one of the nation’s premier environmental and adventure film festivals.
The theme of the 2024 Wild & Scenic Film Festival is “Reel Action.” The event will also provide an opportunity for guests to interact with other local environmental organizations, including Bureau of Land Management/Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area, The River Center/Loxahatchee River District, Jupiter Inlet Foundation, Friends of Jupiter Beach, Wild Dolphin Project, Beach Bucket Foundation, Jupiter Narrows Conservation Alliance, Manatee Lagoon, and the Nature Conservancy.
Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum is a congressionally identified partner in the management of 120 acres of nationally significant property surrounded by urban development and busy waterways. The museum sits on the Loxahatchee River, portions of which are designed “Wild & Scenic River” by Wild & Scenic Rivers Act (1985). As part of a national tour, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival uses the event to promote an urgent call of action for preservation of the environment.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the films begin at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (561) 747-8380 or visit jupiterlighthouse.org.
